What happens when you get in touch

If yours is not here, ring Aaron on 07455 331326.

What happens after I send the form?

Aaron calls you back within 24 hours, usually sooner, and it is him rather than a call centre. That first call is a few minutes: what the space is, roughly what you want from it, and whether it is worth a visit. If it is, we book the survey at a time that suits you, including evenings.

Is the survey really free, and am I committing to anything?

Free and no obligation, and there is no charge if you take the quote elsewhere. We would rather spend an hour finding out your loft is 1.9m to the ridge and tell you so than sell you something that will not work. Nobody is going to sit in your kitchen until you sign.

What should I have ready for the visit?

Nothing, honestly. Access to the space and to the consumer unit and boiler is useful, and if you happen to have the house deeds, an existing floor plan or the paperwork from any previous extension, bring it out. If you have none of that it changes nothing: we measure everything ourselves anyway.

Can you give me a price over the phone or from photographs?

No, and be careful of anyone who will. A price for a conversion depends on head height, the structure, the state of the slab, where the services run and where the stairs or the door can go. None of that is visible in a photograph. We can tell you on the phone whether something sounds viable, which is often the answer people actually want.

How far ahead are you booking?

It moves with the season and with what is already on, so the honest answer is to ring and ask rather than trust a number typed on a website months ago. Aaron will tell you the real lead time on the first call, including if it is longer than you were hoping.

I am not ready yet. Is it too early to call?

No. A good proportion of the surveys we do are for people who are eighteen months away and want to know whether the idea is realistic before they start saving for it. Finding out now that your roof will not take a dormer is worth more than finding out later.
